Rabbit butcher date

Hey,
I was just curious to know what age and/or weight rabbits have to be before they can be butchered, before the feed:gain ratio gets too far apart at which point they'll be kept for breeders, can't find anything online or in books, not many people hunt or raise rabbits for meat around me that I know of,
I have 6 white new zealands, bought at the burls creek f/f guy wasn't too clear on how old they were I'd guess 6 weeks +/- at the time, i also have a full grown nzx buck(10lbs) and would say the youngsters are almost half his size, eating hay and pellets, I'd like to switch to a corn/barley and/or oats mixture a few weeks before d-day

Any help/advise would be great.
Colin

I do mine at 4-6 lbs to BBQ or wood fire . If over 6 I use in stews or roasted . Old does or bucks I pressure cook . Hope helps . Luck
