Update on our rescue boy
Just wanted to share some of our Aiden's "before and afters" with you all.
Quick recap: Aiden is the rescue who we adopted a couple of months back. He was a hot mess when we got him - half-finished DIY clip, probably just to try to get rid of the worst of the mats in his coat before trying to re-home him. I think the main reason his pre-adoption clip was abandoned may have been because he absolutely hates grooming.
The first pic of him was taken shortly after we got him home. The second pic is before he was taken to his first (very traumatic) trip to the groomer for a "start fresh" trim. The third pic was taken after his first trim. The fourth pic was taken after his first groomer cut had grown out a bit (a few days ago). The last few pictures are of Aiden today, after going to the groomer again for an interim clean-up of his face, feet and tail (some day soon I'll get up the nerve to do it myself, I hope). He still doesn't like being groomed AT ALL, but it wasn't a full groom, plus hubs and I had bathed him the night before, so it was over pretty quickly.
He finally has the poodle face I had imagined would suit him so much better. His topknot could be a bit longer, but I couldn't wait any longer for it to grow out some more before getting his face clean cut.
I may be a bit biased, but what a lovely face it is!

Re: Update on our rescue boy
wow! amazing what a grooming and bit of TLC can do! he's looking amazing, and maybe if he finds that it's not too traumatic he may enjoy being groomed and clipped! must feel so much better without all the mats! great job!!!!
