sick bunny
Do we have a page for other animals? I don't see one, that would be my suggestion, a spot for none poultry like PSO had.
I have a rabbit question for breeders. I have a young doe, 5 months old. She started to have runny eyes like a cold. However it kept getting worse, it's nearly 5 weeks now. The eyes are fine, it's around the eyes, the skin is red and swollen and the constant snotty running has scalded the fur off this area of the face. It started when I gave her hay that I bought. None of the other rabbits got this. Does anyone know if this is some sort of disease or something in the hay did this? Is there something I can give her? She otherwise seems fine.

Re: sick bunny
I have no experience with rabbits, but did see VetRX for rabbits on the company's website. I'm only mentioning this because it sounds almost like a sinus infection to me. At least that's what I'd suspect if it were my dog. Or me. And no, I do not have shares in Goodwinol. However, I have had positive results using their VetRX for poultry.
ETA: good idea about having a non-poultry section. Even a generic health section would be nice.

Re: sick bunny
Just had a thought: could your rabbit have some sort of infection in eye lid or tear duct? Maybe you could try polysporin for eyes? Shoppers sells it, both for pink eye and for general infection - pink box and blue box, respectively. I bought the blue box to keep on hand just in case, and have had occasion to use it on my dog when he had a runny eye, probably from getting poked by some brush in the field where I walk him.

Google: snuffles/pasteurellosis
It can manifest as chronic ear, and eye problems not just nasal.

Had two rabbits with snuffles. Spent an ungodly amount of cash trying to help them. Both eventually died from it. Terrible experience, wouldn't keep rabbits again after that. Hopefully it's something more simple like an eye infection.

Me neither, it was one for the five threads showing on my puter so I assumed it was active, sorry folks.

I'd still be interested to learn the outcome.
