Sharing

Public Health has a Rabies Vaccine happening for the month of January.
$15/animal. No office visit fee etc., held at all vet offices. (3 year vaccine)

If there are financial stressors, you can get a voucher which makes it for free, especially if you have many animals to vaccinate.

Drake isn't due for another few months and they said that was fine .. She said up to 6 months should be OK to get vaccinated ,l but aim towards end of the month.

Cheers!!
Sandy

Figured they would come along with that after all the rabid coons around
Anyone else remember taking their pets to rabies vaccine clinics
Ours was always at the local firehall
Long line ups of cats and dogs with theirs owners
That was the only time our dog saw a needle
Now it seems they are always needing to go to the vet!!

Your money still pays for it in long run . Gov reimburses vets .

Soooooo?...at least people who might not otherwise be able to afford a regular vets office call, will go and get their animal vaccinated...its a social benefit for us all...kinda like school..you could send your kid to private school but then only the more affluent would get educated...i think its a worthwhile effort...

How do I find more information about where these clinics are held? lots of googling is not getting me anywhere. My dog is a little over 3, she had the 3 year vaccination when we got her and is due... we also have 2 cats, one outdoor and 1 indoor that need to be done. I live in Lambton County and cant find any current clinics offered?

thanks in advance!

Thanks for posting! Too many are letting their pet vaccines go by the wayside. We go by the Dodds protocol ourselves.

Al, every vet office. Just call your vet and let them know you'd like the Rabies vaccine that public Health is offering.
