Rex are a meat breed, and you can get faster growing lines. usually(not always) you give up something to get speed, often fur quality, it'll still be rex and still be nicer then regular rabbit, but typically not as good as a show line rex. my show line rex dont take that long, i could butcher based on carcas size earlier then i do, but i like to prime that coat and sometimes particularly if the weathers not cooperative it can take a bit.

Ok I think I am going to start with a few Rex rabbits come Spring time. I found someone not too far from me that looks to have some good stock and raises them for show, pelts and meat, so hopefully I will look to get a couple from her and maybe at some point a couple from Syble, if I make it down that way.

Jim beat me to it lol, this is their second year running it i think? they had a spring show, i missed it ddnt know about it, but went to the fall one and it was good. plan to be at the spring one this year
