Yes the advertising is crap!! They definitely haven't put the word out there. I only know cause my friends dog got mangled by a raccoon and the vet told her about it. I called my vet and they said yup ... It's a program till the end of the month. Tell everyone you know! Everyone should benefit from it!

And it doesn't matter if you've been to the vet or not or if they're up to date on anything or everything ... They aren't allowed to BS you ... Rabies vaccine no bullying questions asked.

Hmmm, that's odd and sucks. I am 98% sure you can go to city hall at any time of the year and get rabies vouchers for $15 and take to a vet.

Norfolk County hosts these across the County every spring. We always take advantage of it. We haul the dog pack to one location, then the cats to another. So convenient. Helps w health issues and keeping the costs down at the home front. Here is the ad from 2014. I've never heard of a rabies case here since moving down 14 years ago, but was happy to find they had them.

There are low price "welfare" type clinics around if your pay class dictates it . Are u talking in your area where rabies scare is centered that it's a new deal because of or always been this way . It's been 10 yrs since last outbreak & no ones been concerned till now .Some cty health units have been doing for awhile as stated but not all . Talked to grey/Bruce cty rep this AM & he's hoping to get something going for next yr.
Also from what area vets have told me one shot 1st yr another booster in next year then good for 3 yrs . In my case 39$ & 39$ - 78$ total . Phoned city vet I've used for 50 yrs & his are 49$plus 49$ & he's one of the lower price vets around in city . Brian of Brian's bee supplies knows who I'm talking about . Luck

Ross, middlesex, and elgin haven't run these programs for the last few years because there's not been rabies here. The vets i asked today also hadn't heard of it down here, but one did say they are doing it east of here, east of woodstock because of the cases (yes plural) of coon rabies out there-they want as many people to vaccinate as many animals as they can to try to stop it from spreading to companion animals and raising the risk of human infection. I was also told that because it's law to vaccinate for rabies, that they are trying to get to those people that don't because they can't afford it....no questions asked....because they don't want folks to be afraid of reprimand while getting their pets vaccinated. Now my "pet" vet will vaccinate for a lower cost if you can prove you can't afford it-no voucher needed....and my "livestock" vet will also vaccinate my "pets" for rabies if i ask, and interestingly, my "livestock" vet charges less for the vaccinating than my "pet" vet, because they break open a big vial and do all my animals from the same vial, instead of single dose vials from the "pet" vet. so i really make it confusing for my "pet" vet by having the "livestock" vet do the rabies, and then the "pet" vet do all the rest. LOL. i keep records for all the cats and dogs though....so i know exactly what everyone has gotten, and what they all need.

oh, and on a different note, 2 weekends ago, they were dropping vaccinated baits all around my area from a helicopter....pretty neat, they dropped in the woods all around my place....(i think my lab is now vaccinated again....) they went up the river and then down the ravine on the other side of my house LOL.

sorry sandy, use the word bull, get the cow....it's the only way i can do it for the underage members....i'm sure people know what you mean.
