My dogs just bark at the T.V. when they see other dogs. Otherwise, they just ignore it...unless the doorbell rings...then we yell..it's the T. V. and they go back to sleep...lol

Addy is almost two and worth every effort, nothing in my life makes me laugh so hard, although it has been more work then I could have imagined, puppy seems to be much like a baby, somehow the pain is soon forgotten and "fools rush in" all over again.... ;)

This picture makes me think of the one @Jaye posted of her dog, self directed guard dog, although in a true GR fashion she is just hoping a complete stranger will drop in and pet her, or possibly she will help him take out the electronics, if that is what he is after ....:)
Addy is almost 2 (1).jpg

Look mom, I am not even looking at that cookie...
Good wait, not even looking at it... (1).jpg

Chance is our " senior statesman " ;) getting all sorts of privileges not ever offered to any other dog here, mainly because he is mostly deaf, glad I always used hand signals in conjunction with voice commands, really coming in handy now.
We got him in October of 2008 and the vet thought he was between 1 and 2 years old, even if he was just 8 month he would now be the longest lived dog we ever had. Hoping he has another summer in him, probably not another winter, we may not have another winter in us either, judging by this year . :-)

End of the road for Chance, I am sorry to say.
I thought he had another summer in him, but he didn't.

I contacted the mobile vet in January, just to have the forms filled and everything in place ( maybe I didn't think he had another summer ?? )
He collapsed Tuesday evening and just lay on his bed, so contacted the https://www.hospicevet.com
at 9am Wednesday and the vet was here at 10.45am, and that was that. Shed a little tear, but he was with us for 15 years, so was at least 16 +, great age for a large dog.
Good end all in all, wish the human healthcare system would take a page out their book.

@Ontario Chick Chance had a wonderful home. A dog (or anything) couldn't ask for better. Glad I got to meet him.
