Truckload of flax- anyone want to split one- Durham region

I contacted the flax people, as I can't get flax bedding within reasonable driving distance of the Port Perry/ Lindsay area. They will happily ship me a truckload, FOB 4.20 per bag, (still waiting for shipping costs). There are around 1100 bags on a truck. Is there anybody close to Port Perry who would be willing to split up the load with me? They will split a delivery 3 ways (fairly local). Bags are loaded onto pallets.
I'd have to live forever to use up a truckload, I thought I'd ask PTO here first before I look elsewhere to split the load. If you are interested (still waiting for a firm price, no need to commit 100% yet) please let me know.
Or, if you have any thoughts who else might be interested- let me know too. I've thought of feed stores and horse barns.

Make sure you have good dry storage facility.
The Wool Growers in CP had a load stored outside couple years ago and the bags got damp thru the ventilation holes, first some sprouted from seeds inside the bags and then they got moldy. Not a pretty sight.

I definitely agreed OC! under a solid roof, not tarped. If you can store it, why not distribute it?

I'm not thrilled with the packaging either. It's absolutely not for outdoor storage. Same outdated paper bag technology they used to commonly package (and some still are! unbelievably) pesticides. I'm not a fan of plastic, but if they went to packaging compacted bales of flax like the McFeeter's shavings it would be a huge improvement.
Sandy I'll see if you are considered close enough to me for a drop off.
Gawd I doubt I'm close enough to practically anyone it seems (Unless Dominion link wanted it for their horse barn) to make it worthwhile distributing it. I'd rather just split the load.

I have indoor storage .. And to be honest the paper bags are my preference. The product can breathe and recycle! Win win.

Thanks Andrea .. If they're willing to come it my side of Toronto that's flipping fantastic. I can be a pick up point for anyone else who wants it - but can only do short term storage indoors.

Things are getting interesting. I found out today that Port Perry Feeds has been sold to North York Farmers, and that quite a few people have been asking about flax bedding. Perhaps the new owner will bring it in and I won't have to. I'm going to hold off until I find out.

Just reading this thread now. Have you heard if the new ownership of Port Perry Feeds have decided to carry flax bedding? I used it 2 years ago for a litter of puppies and really liked it, but the dealer I bought it from stopped carrying it as their supplier jacked the price and it reached a point where it wasn't selling well.

They can get it, it's pricey at almost 8 bucks a bag.
