lol, yes just one! I have been thinking about Mount Forest for years but it is so far from me. (about 4.5 hours one way) I may go up the night before, I am still trying to decide.

i haven't been to Alfred Interprovincial sale or chesterville or Bay of Quinte; but between South Mountain, McDonalds Corners and Vernon; Vernon wins hands down. for a decent mix of birds, quality birds (not a bunch of barnyard mixes), etc.

I've been to Alfred - larger sale with lots of variety. A bit far for me to go regularly.
I've also been to Chesterville in 2013. Once. I won't go again, because I was not impressed with the way they treated the animals at the sale I attended. I really hope that's improved.
Three of my flock came from my one and only trip to Mt. Forest so far. Really good sale, but a long way for me to travel.
In this neck of the woods, South Mountain is a good, and so is Vernon.Vernon wins my vote, because it's the closest to where I live.

Mount Forest is too far of a hike for me. A sale is different from an auction. A sale you see who you are buying from face to face and have a better chance of inspecting what you are buying and asking questions. For auctions I only go to the EBBA sale in Vernon. I like that the sellers must be members of the club and fill their name and address on the tags. All deficiencies are supposed to be declared, makes people more accountable. They reserve the right to not sell an animal if it looks sick.
