I've been many times, but not there today, I've found the prices to a bit higher than other sales, and the quality to be decent. That attracts people, which attracts sellers with good birds, which attracts people.....

Didn't make it today: Had a sick bird to tend. Sounds like it was a good auction.

Got very little. Also found the prices ridiculously high.

NO kittens this time though :)

Spring prices are always higher. SO glad there were no discarded animals this time. :-)

There were some really nice birds there which then causes some prices to be really high.
A trio of Buckeyes went for $120 must have been close to 15-20 Peafowl. i only came home with one.
A few other pair of Jacobian Pigeons was $130 so I also got some good deals on Lovebirds.
Good day over all.
It is a spring auction so prices were good for sellers and buyers were obviously OK with with them or they would not have paid it.

Doug, you got a peacock???
Were you happy with the prices you got for your birds?
Was also wondering if Tom (the Swan Guy) was there, he broke his leg last fall, hope he is back in shape to help at the Auction.

Yes I agree with Doug. Some really nice birds today, but I resisted the urge and came home empty handed. The cage birds were inexpensive but the chickens / ducks/ geese seem to go at regular market value or higher. One African gander went for 105, not sure if that is expensive or a deal it is the first one I have seen. really nice bird!

Had a nice chat with Doug...he's been holding out on us...he has a new puppy and I haven't seen pictures yet!!!

on the whole prices were good I was happy with what I got.
Swan Guy was there for a short time. He will be off work for a while yet.

The African Gander was a white one.

Here is a pic of the pup.
