Thank-you everyone for your kind responses, I almost wasn't going to go, it takes so long to wash and dry a silkie. It took me 5 hours with my sister's help to do it and my husband just had surgery so he couldn't go so my sister went with me. I was concerned she'd be bored to tears but we went down the way to Nick's for a buffet breakfast then we went into the Degroots gift shop and spent over an hour and a half there. There gift shop is amazing so many unique beautiful things. Then we talked with Bruce and he showed us pictures of the daylilies he raises, he has over 400 varieties. We both love flowers so we were in heaven. Then we also talked to Barb about her show dog a bishon frize and also about breeding and showing silkies. Both Bruce and Barb gave lots of good info not at all concerned that we were competition. Bruce even told me before the judging started that I better trim my birds beaks as some judges don't like too much beak. I could see he was right so I did trim them and this was before the judging started. Bruce and Barb are such nice people so friendly and helpful. All in all both my sister and myself had a wonderful day and my sister even commented that it was the best day she's had in a while.

Silkies are a really tough class too.
