Huronia fur and feather tomorrow

Post by Happy » Sat Sep 23, 2017 3:07 pm

Lord give me strength. I haven't been to a BST in over a year. But I've managed to double the # of birds in my coop from this time last year lol.
I'm going to Huronia fur and feather tomorrow morning :stars: Wasn't going to but plans changed and a friend wants to meet there.
Anybody else going? Maybe I can fill my time chatting so I don't see something I have to have!

I would like to help you out, but it's a bit far for me, plus tomorrow is gotcha day for my quail covey. I'm sure there will be lots of poultry folk there for you to chat with, though. Good luck, and have fun!

Lol thanks @Jaye and good luck with the quail! I admit I got interested in quail this year when I ran across pics of snowflake and tuxedo lol. So fancy! That got me looking at quail in general and I'm tempted... Chickens have not got me interested in any other species. Except quail. I will just watch and see what you think of them ;)

Came home empty handed but I've been thinking about a gorgeous frizzled serama I left there ALL DAY.
I miss my house chicken. Great turn out there today of sellers and buyers. My friend bought 6 hens. Aside from the serama hen I'm still mourning I was very tempted by a gorgeous trio of bantam barred rocks, some heritage barred rocks and Rhode Island Reds. I have never seen quality heritage reds up close and personal. WOW. I may have a new love!!!

Yes, I was shocked at the colour of real Rhode Island reds! That gorgeous blackish mahogany.
