Trails End Auction London

So I am sure someone has been to this auction. Every Saturday I am told. Any feedback from anyone? How long, lots of birds? Good, bad indifferent prices? I am thinking of taking some roosters and cull hens there. Comments, advice from anyone? Thanks.

Not thinking of buying certainly at this time. Is it a good place to sell?

As far as buying /selling usually 30/40 + people there & like any auction depends on time a year guality etc . Not a purebred to say sale but good & bad come thru . If my 5 extra cockerels don't sell this week I'll be there . One thing to be aware of is that if before auction someone wants to buy from the cage & auctioneer thinks good price he will sell & still charge you commission . If you tell him it has to go thru auction than he will . I usually tell him the least I will take befor auction & if no one buys they go thru auction no reserve . Some folks ok with this some folks not .
Also as Kathy says watch other stuff , sometime their sold /bought at Hagersville or Woodstock sales on Fri & end up at London by dealers . Luck

And if you have dogs there apparently was a litter of puppies at the sale last week all of which tested positive for parvovirus....just fyi if anyone was there and might have handled and then gone home to their puppies...

Dogs do go through auction there. Friend of mine bought a lot (4 or 5?) Rat terriers last week. All used up breeders.

Why anyone would buy a dog at a sale or auction for a pet without knowing history or breeder rep is nuts as far as I'm concerned . People get what they ask for . Most think/hope their saving money . I know some think they are doing rescue but long as people keep "rescuing " them others will keep breeding them . Luck

Very true. I expect the owners just wanted to make room for young blood :(
