But, there is a problem with a living on a farm in rural areas - snakes !!! I hate them, i get so scared when i see one , its crazy.
So lett me ask you people - is it posieble to get rid of them somehow. As i love all animals, i dont vont just kill pure thing, but i vont them as far from me as posieble.
I heard ducks will chase them away, even chickens , is that true ?
I just seen first snake in my yard, it was very close to my pigeons coop...so im viry if she get inside. Its very smoll abd it will note ve dangerus to my birds, but the problem is - i will newer go inside again to feed them :)
Please do not laugh at me....im a big guy who is scared of snakes lol.
I will be at the mf sale on sunday, is there any kind of farm animals that will chase the snakes away, please tell me , bring them overthere and i will buy it for sure...
Thanks for any help...i will see u all on sunday...

I have the option of bringing my silkie chicks as well as a couple of Olive Egger roosters...wondering if anyone would be interested?

Edited to refer to the OE roosters...not the chicks, they're coming anyways.

And now a black cochin rooster, bantam. LOL. What else can I find?

When buying guineas, buy young ones so they stay around, otherwise they will probably take off and you may not see them again. Also good idea to have them grow up with chickens so they learn to come in at night if you intend to free range them.
Muscovy ducks may eat them.

We also leave them locked int the coop for a few weeks then locked to the run for a few weeks then eventually they get to free range
