Just bringing this back up to the top, only a couple weeks away, I sure hope it warms up before the sale. If it's warm this sale is so much fun just to walk around and see all the different birds and talk to the different venders, if it's cold.... blaaaaa .... still fun but not as much.

I have ALWAYS wanted to go to Mount Forest, but never made it.
I am Determined to go THIS YEAR!!!!
So besides looking @ birds & other critters, what TIPS can you give this Newbie?

Best time to get there?
Parking?
Bring food or ?
Is there a special area where PTO folks will be?
Do I bring my own cage & walk around with it til I find something to put in it?
Are there folks selling Fertilized eggs?
Oh & is it really a RED BANDANA event - LOL

LOL You park along the street ( its free )unless you want to sell then you park on the racetrack, there is a 10.00 seller fee now . Admission is free, bring your own cage a cat carrying cage works great. You can prearrange sales with people off this site and just meet them there or just buy what you see. There are newly hatched chicks, fertile eggs, all breeds of chickens, quail, pheasants, peacocks, ponies, goats, sheep, pigs, donkeys etc.Whatever people bring, I have even seen emu and camels there. Some people arrive the night before and camp on the track other people start arriving at 4am. I went very early once, not really worth it, you go around looking with a flashlight as it's too dark to see. 7 am is early enough, goes to noon. The club has a stand at the centre of the track where they sell hamburgers hot dogs and drinks.

If you are making your own price tags and would like to show you are PTO member, we have some nice looking PTO templates here:
http://www.poultrytalkontario.net/site/pto-stationary/

Just print them out and write your prices in them... :cow: :iheartpto:
