Credit where due, I think DH has spent an awful lot of time building coops and putting fencing up. Also looking after them when I was doing treatments.

Excellent post! Almost makes me want to raise Turkeys ......but as I mentioned in my intro post....I'm chicken math challenged :)

Everyone should have at least one handsome Tom wandering around the yard . Makes an excellent conversationalist at breakfast & coffee break . Luck

Chickens are Gateway Livestock. That's where it started for me.

Sooooo true... chickens then turkeys... quail... guinea fowl.... ducks.... partridge....... I highly recommend turkeys though.
