@windwalkingwolf she is a year and only just started to change. SHe is small hen sized. Came out of the mixed pen with males, is now in with just one and 3 "other"girls.

Re: Sex that turkey!
pretty sure she's a hen, but likely hormonal imbalanced....or more remotely an intersex. Can't really tell an intersex until processing....so....if an intersex then there may not be any eggs, or few and not fertile. BUT i have had young hens look exactly like this when put in with new birds and trying to establish the pecking order.

Re: Sex that turkey!
OK so it's likely her move in with different birds brought it on. Looks like a normal hen this am! Will let you know when processed. SHe hates me and keeps trying to go all dominant!

Ross I forgot how do you do the string and magnet test. I want to try it on the silkies. Course I might not be any good at it.

Re: Sex that turkey!
Bruce Jen was confusing right from the start, and stayed that way. If I had to guess, think this is just a high T female. "Number 27" that I got from you doesn't strut or do other typically Tom things, but she is VERY dominant, hasn't laid an egg in at least two years, and has a six inch beard.
