duck housing question

I want to get some duel purpose ducks. I have never had ducks before and want to build a small duck house with a pool for use in the summer. But my thoughts are already turning toward winter and wondering if I could over winter the ducks in the greenhouse with a tarp over at least part of it for shade...and a small coop box inside for snuggling up in the extreme cold. I hear ducks are very messy...which I don't mind, but will housing the ducks in winter in the greenhouse make the soil to "hot" in the summer,... too much un composted nitrogen? Thoughts? Is this just a bad idea?
