why do these not exist much now?

white mallard
cackling geese
barnicle
egyptian
shelducks


Eggs and or adults seem to just never be around these days. Should i shop at eggbid?

if they are endangered species or native and migratory, you require all kibds of extensive permits to be allowed to have them in Canada. not worth the hassle for most folks.

Egyptian geese lay eggs in January and eggs would freeze before collected here.

There are many breeders of Egyptians around if you get looking .. I had them for several years .. nice but mean towards others ... as Barronfrew mentioned... cacklers and I think barnicles need federal permits... shelducks depending on the species.. are around .... but not many sell eggs or duckling/goslngs. I would suggest going to the pheasant sale in the fall in Woodstock .. most of what you are looking for are at that sale.

in my county we need permits for all these at the municipal level as well as federal for some....too much paperwork

my friend just bought barnicle had them shipped he didnt need a permit? They are so quiet and gentle. 300 tho for a pair.

Dave Chamberlin in NB had a bunch of white mallards a few years ago when I was at his place really wish I bought a couple pairs very nice birds

There's a fellow in Brighton, and another in Jasper who have Egyptians, and probably a few of the others on your list.
