Dutch Hookbills

Post by SleepyShepherdFarm » Mon Jan 16, 2017 1:09 pm

Does anyone know of anyone that has or is breeding Dutch Hookbills?

I have a sad little trio - 2 drakes and a duck and I need more! but can't seem to find anyone that has them anymore.

thanks

I use to have dozens all with decent to well curved bills. I sold them all when I moved(about 9 years ago now) figuring I'd buy some back when I got resettled. I have been kicking myself ever since às everyone I sold mine too, either sold them, crossed them with other breeds or lost them to predators. I have been looking for more, but haven't had much luck. Most, in Canada and the USA, have straight or near straight bills now. With all the colours that are being sold in the USA now I'm certain heavy crossing with Runners has been done.
Rarefeild Heritage Farms, from up Ottawa way, is the only person I've been able to find that is doing any long term breeding. Their facebook page ( https://m.facebook.com/RarefieldHeritag ... =ts&__nodl )
Do you have any pics of yours?
