Tipping and wobbly **HELP NEEDED**

My blue Swedish duckling got stung by a bunch of wasps yesterday morning. He must of found a nest and bothered it because they were all over him chasing him out of the bush and he was running full speed.

I had to take a stiff broom to him to get most of them off. Poor little guy.

The last two days he's been wobbly on his feet and tipsy. Will easily fall over. I have him on stress aid to help him.

Any suggestions? I see a wee bit of improvement since yesterday but not enough that I feel he is out of the woods.

He's eating and drinking fine, he just looks like a wobbly drunk walking about.

Thanks.

I dont know what benadryl will do to a duck....

I just read on line that an adult duck can get 1/2 ml of childrens benadryl...might be worth a try if you think the stings have done it. People online have used it for fire ant attacks in ducks....

I have zero experience with it...

I went out and gave him benedryl last night . Also this morning, another dose. He seems a bit better, but still wobbly, but I haven't seen him fall over so that's good. I sure hope he feels better soon.

Try letting him have a swim in some water with vinegar in it, wouldn't hurt if his drinking water was acidic as well...might help neutralize the alkaline wasp venom.

Great idea. I will do that tomorrow when he comes out of the coop. He stresses and runs crazy when I try to get him.

I don't want him to break a leg. :( that will be the straw that breaks the ducks back.
