Hello from Perth County!

Post by amberalora » Fri May 03, 2019 9:54 am

Hey everyone, :new:

We live on a farm near Stratford with our hens, horses, dogs, a barn cat, and we pasture some of our dairy cows here in the summer :cow:

I've got a small flock of Black Copper Marans, Gold-Laced Wyandottes, (and one Silkie rooster who is too cute to get rid of). We just started out with our chickens last summer and this year our plans are to add a few more hens, and expand our outdoor run. Future plans are to raise meat chickens and maybe hatching some eggs from our layers.

Looking forward to chatting & getting to know you all!

:welcome:
We are still fairly new at the farming thing.
It sounds like you have some experience with cattle. We have 2 heifers that we have not bred yet.
We also get some meat chickens and turkeys as day-olds. Then process them ourselves.
I'll be setting some eggs in the incubator on Sunday to add more to my flock.
You will find lots of support on this site! All you have to do is ask! :-)
