It is nice that your parents had chickens so you had a base to learn from and that you still have a passion for poultry! My kids are casually into our chickens and certainly have their favourite pets in the flocks but the day to day chicken grunt work falls on me! Will interesting to see if either one continues on with chickens in the future.
I had tried hatching out Light Sussex eggs many years ago when I was assembling my flocks and trying out the various breeds but I only hatched out roosters... which I promptly sold. I do like the striking Colombian pattern but not one (of any breed) in my motley crew at present,
