Hello from the Ottawa Valley
I'm new to this site but I used to pop into the old Poultry Swap site once in a while. I live in St-Pascal-Baylon on the Eastern edge of the Ottawa Valley and I'm interested to meet other chicken people in my region. I have mostly Barred Plymouth Rocks, some Columbian Rock crosses and 2 bantam Buff Brahmas, Princess and Rusty, that I absolutely adore. Princess hatched some chicks naturally this year, but they are not hers. She's a wonderful mother to the babies nevertheless. Not exactly sure who the moms are, but 2 came out barred and one is all black, so far. I think her colours are changing. Will have to take some pics of them.
Nice to meet you all!

Hello from the Ottawa Valley
Glad you've joined us.
I like your choice of username: Are you a horse enthusiast or did you maybe spend some time in Australia?

Hello from the Ottawa Valley
Our farm is called 'Brumby Wood Farm', named after a place from my husband's childhood in Scunthorpe, UK (the original 'Brumby Wood'). I also knew that a Brumby is an Aussie word for a wild horse, so it just seemed to fit the place, which includes 7 acres of "wild" woods.
