Oh...mint will burn off essential oil in a heated dehydrater. Basil will turn black if heated or frozen.

I dry mine in the microwave too....so much faster then hanging them.

Oven on low will take overnight to dry them....

I can deal with overnight. I go to bed late and Lou's up around 4am so it would only be unattended for a few hours.

just leave the door propped open a bit to let the humidity get out...otherwise you'll just cook them....LOL. and on low, like barely on....

We condense our broth right down then freeze in ice cube trays! Then just add a few frozen broth cubes to the pot with a few cups of water a BAM!! Instant soup broth! Lol
We also steam our extra spinach and Kale then pack tight in ice cube trays and freeze! Then vacuum seal and pile up in freezer for winter soup and stews !

I freeze mine in ice cube trays then put it in a big ziplock bag. That way I can take out as much/little as I need.
