I made this for our solstice dinner and it is great. Suitable for gluten intolerant people too. I am going to use the almond crust for other pies. It is worth the cost of the almond flour. There is a youtube video link because the original requires a Membership. You can catch it on PBS too. Incredibly simple and not too sweet. Don't put sugey in the cream when you whip it though I never do.

Wow, love the idea of almond crust, I always have almond flour at home, use it for some shortbread cookies.

Now that I looked at the ingredients, I see the only difference between my almond shortbread and the tart is the starch instead of flour.
It sounds absolutely delicious and I would try it with different filling.
I do not have a removable bottom tart pan, @Killerbunny is it crucial?

@Ontario Chick I don't think so. I had one so I used it.

It made too much curd I found so I whipped up some cream and added the curd to make a great ice cream!

I only used one because I had it. I may have used it 10 times in the last 25 years LOL!

@killerbunny, that tart looks beautiful! I may give it a try before the new year.
