Lovebird nest

Post by Shnookie » Sat Jun 06, 2020 8:37 pm

My new lovebird has shredded most of the paper on the bottom of her cage, and has laid 2 eggs. The male is not in with her so they are infertile. It`s interesting that she laid the eggs on the floor and not in a pile of paper.

Does it shred most of the paper like that to find a nesting place for the newly born eggs? Can you share some tips when preparing cages for lovebirds? For example width, some indispensable object or toy for it.
