Sap is a running!

I see we have a few days that dip below freezing coming up... since the buds have opened are they going to be damaged? and is there any point in tapping again or would it be nutty?

yeah, our buds are open too. i'm not going to bother, never had any luck with the sap returning to sugary because the sugar has all been used as energy to grow those buds. i don't think the buds will be harmed, we usually get a few frosts after they've opened in the spring....they're pretty tough trees. apples and pears and cherries though, not so much....i noticed yesterday my forsythia is trying to bloom

finally a bit more sap ran today in my region. Haven't hardly got anything in over a week. I collected around 30 gallons or so from my 54 taps and it was still running. Funny though, some running very well, some hardly running at all.
