I got 9 trees tapped. Yeeehaw!

I will admit it bothered my soul to drill into trees. Think it matters that I hugged them after and said sorry?

Now it's a wee bit cold for the next week but I got a good amount yesterday. So we'll see what I end up with at the end of the season.

I also got a new grill to put over the bonfire to cook it. Now all I need is a caldron and I'll feel witchy!

Now Sandy you know the rules about posting on here regarding maple syrup, if you didn't send me a jar, it didn't happen!

Great news. I just went down to our local folks and bought 2 bottles. Emergency situation, I'd nearly run out!

If you don't plant the tree, you will never have the fruit...

The large size deep steam table trays is what many hobbyists, including myself use. They have a large service area and they are relatively cheap.

But SR, that would be one less batch of maple butter tart squares.

I know eh? Sheesh! Last year as too mild and I missed the boat. This year I am doing everything I ever wanted on my property because I am so flipping miserable I have to do things that brighten my day, and those 'things' must not inlclude activities that will result in jail time.
