making hay while the sun shines!

Post by muffin » Fri Sep 14, 2018 9:53 am

We have had a nice RAIN FREE week up here on St Joseph Island, near Sault Ste Marie, so we have been taking hay off...still. Tons of work to do before winter, but haying waits for NO ONE... See the video we made yesterday of the hay coming off the field...yesterday.

ONLY square bales, I prefer idiot blocks to dummy rolls! (if you are from the prairies you will understand this reference).....we can LIFT blocks by hand, rounds...not so much so....

I am with Muffin on this one...those round bales are just a symptom of 'I'd rather play on my ipad than work the farm' syndrome...and whats with all the hay loss on the round ones?...

Wow! Thank goodness for those one-second breaks between hauling bales.
