does that have a electric ignition Ross? i see it says Piezo igniter, I assume that means electric eh. tough to find them with a pilot but someone out at camp bought a brand new 3/4 size fridge that didnt have the electronic ignitor, i think but could be wrong. pretty penny. I still have the full size antique propane fridge out at camp on my deck. still works like a charm but we dont use it any more and just use coolers.

I am loving this off grid site!! With the electricity pricing, off grid is becoming more and more relevant and prevalent.

I will make a comment about my baking experince with propane. I find propane is a wet heat. Propane alters my results (not to my advantage) with many baking items such as non-yeast breads, yeast breads, sweet breads and tarts/pies.
For 99% of my baking I use my wall oven that is electric but anything that can be cooked equally in propane I do.

I wonder if natural gas has similar results to propane. Anyways, just thought I'd mention that.

Guess yu have to weigh the costs out being prices of some off grid things cost more than electrical plus cost & availability of propane depending where off grid you are . Right now even with power increases our bill was only $130 last mth . Lights . Furnace , fridge , freezer tv & a few kitchen appliances .
