I used those green bins that superstore sells for groceries; the ones with the web straps and the solid bottoms for hauling fire wood. Two of them full of logs on end is about all I can carry at once into the house. Nothing falls through onto the floor...sap or muck can easily wash out. They are tough and stack well for storage.

another good thing about the laundry basket that i didnt know at the time of posting is it slides across the snow very well!

Those blue IKEA bags are great for hauling wood when camping and they pack small!
