House certified propane fridges

we have a propane furnace here Sandy, since the carbon tax it has increased. 0.629/liter on Dec 30 now 0.7090 on Feb 13. its hard to say if its cheaper or not, I dont know. Our bill is alot higher than it was before I cant really see where the increase is though, maybe just the price/liter if I did the math.

We just had a fill of the propane tank for the furnace. We had 0.933/liter on Dec 12th and 1.11/liter on 13 Feb. Was actually lucky to buy when we did. The weeks before and since now it's more expensive again... Hmmm....

Ok..not to ruin anyone's day but i just got my tanks filled....58.8 cents/ litre....in my case, I would really look hard at the dollar value of the propane fridge..thats a huge capital outlay for an appliance...we run a full size AC refrigerator and full size freezer in our kitchen...we don't have a hydro bill as most of you know...the trade off is the capital cost and its not just the purchase price of the appliance but the install by a TSSA certified gas tech as well...then the ongoing propane usage...there's a few thoughts...as well, shop carefully ...major appliances run the gamut from total crap to excellent... :running-chicken:

58 cents liter??? wth do they set the prices for different areas of the province or what?

Al..not sure how the prices are set...but we started the heating season at 43 cents.it's come up a tad..but 1.11?...THATS a WTH?!!!

Natural Resources Canada is tracking propane prices here:

In my experience, I use the London price and double it to be somewhere near what Superior is charging me for their propane. I guess I'll be shopping around a bit to see who else is delivering propane around here and what price they charge....

I'm just using their report to see if I can time the delivery to a time when they sell propane cheaper. Not sure I actually get that price forwarded or if they use a different calculation method.

Al, our propane here before Xmas was $.46 I believe. Maybe $.47 when I called in.

I haven't had to buy since Feb last year but it's coming next month.
We'll see.

I just had tanks filled as well, at .6265 ¢ . I use Levac.
