Re: ANY QUILTERS Here?
Quilting is on my bucket list. That, and crocheting. I am much too busy now with young children to try to start another hobby beyond chickens, but it will happen one day.

Don't wait too long, start small.
I made this quilt for my youngest son, (yes, he was supposed to be a girl) and this one for his son.....this time I knew it was going to be a boy:) Don't wait too long, time goes faster then you think.

Re: ANY QUILTERS Here?
My advice ( or what works for me )is quilt what you LOVE!
For the 1st decade I quilted "Traditional" patterns.
Once I became "Chicken Crazy" there wasn't enough patterns available that interested me.
I morphed into doing my own design, which is more of a challenge for me.
These pics are of Quilts I made Before moving to the farm.
These were my nagging attempts to prove to hubby, I "Needed" chickens.
They are both my own "Original" designs
The Egyptian wall quilt is about 6 ft W x 4 ft tall
( crack the hieroglyphics message to my hubby!!!)
The other is about 4 1/2 ft W x 7 ft tall
It is a "Life Size" self portrait ( yeah I know....CRAZY! enjoy anyway - ha ha ha )

Pretty amazing!!!
No wonder your hubby was convinced, it's a pretty compelling rendition of a woman who really needs chickens in her life.

Re: ANY QUILTERS Here?
THANX for all the KIND comments!!!
I should mention the border around the Self Portrait is squares with Quilt friends signatures.
I was living in Toronto @ the time ( Big City ) The Quilting Ladies used to have a good giggle @ my Chicken fascination.
The blocks are various "Chicken Fabric" they bought, & then signed for some great lasting memories.
I have SEW freakin' many of these "Crazy Chicken Chick" quilts....nice that you all can understand Chicken Crazy :rooster66:

ANY QUILTERS Here?
Chick-a-roo, quilt "Chicken stuff" & trust me you will find the time!
I'm posting my "Chicken Pillow Case" for inspiration!
( it really Is a pillow case, the pillow is rolled inside the body.
I entered it in the Creative Needlework competition & I didn't win.
(But I did get an Honorable Mention & quite a few laughs )
