Re: Show and Tell
Tunisian Crocker has certainly made a come back in popularity. I noticed Interweave highlights a Tunisian pattern every month. WLLady, that is a lovely sweater. The colour so suits the design.

Re: Show and Tell
Got it washed and it's blocking right now....hopefully it stops curling at the edges LOL. YES!!! there were times i was working on it with it on my lap and had to move it off because it was too warm! ha ha
My next project will start tonight or tomorrow night when i dig out the wool/yarn - it's going to be a shrug/shawl for a friend of mine that just had breast cancer surgery. not sure if it will be tunisian crochet, but maybe just regular....but it will be colourful! i'm going to use up some ends of yarn i have lying around and will make it as colourful as i possibly can. We do have a lot of talented people on this forum! everything looks amazing!

Re: Show and Tell
A shrug sounds like a very good use of odds and ends of yarn. They keep your shoulders, neck, chest, upper back and arms toasty warm when you're not feeling well, or if you like to read in bed. I am sure it will be well received and appreciated.

I only know about Tunisian crochet because my first attempt of an applique flower, using pink polar fleece, looked awful. It didn't even look like a flower. I ended up finding it in a Google search for a simple flower, probably by viewing images first.

If you get a chance, check out Bonnie Parker. She’s put out two books. I bought both. My fav is the one in the pic. I have a dark blue wrap on the go from this book. I think some of her patterns are on the net. Have to admit, I need my head read for using such a dark wool. As I get older, I find working with dark colours harder on my eyes.

Speaking of working with dark colours, DH solved the problem in my everything room, a.k.a. the spare bedroom. I had taken off the ceiling light cover to see if the lighting was better, and it was. Then DH appeared with a couple of 25W eco-friendly swirly bulbs that are as bright as 100W's. I am one happy sewer right now in all this brightness!

Here are the two pieces that I have done so far for two large zip up totes. I am using instructions for a duffel bag while sewing together different sized fabric pieces of upholstery samples. I am in the process of adding on to the bottom of those to make the rectangles longer. Each of those rectangles is almost an entire front of a bag.

Surely will! As soon as I sew all the little pieces together for the body of the bags, I'll consider them more than half done.

One bag is done! Boy, sewing on the side panels was not fun! Then I realized it was because of the weight of the fabric. Oh well, one more bag to finish.
