Aerogarden
Re: Aerogarden
I ordered net cups, black bags with a draw string to put around the mason jars, I didn't order the black plastic lid caps with a hole in the middle because the reviews were mixed, and I forgot about the pebbles time to do a Google deep dive into hydroponics mediums... Thanks for the reminder!

Well done! You're almost there :) Did you get your AG's yet?
I read somewhere that we need to soak the Leca balls for 24 hours, so I did that and tossed the dirty water outside then rinsed them again. Not sure how necessary soaking is, but they were quite dusty/dirty.
Plastic lids aren't really necessary. I made some plastic ones out of yoghurt container lids, but I felt that they made it too moist, and I found them annoying when it came to adding water so I ditched them. I wrapped some of my jars in fabric, secured with an elastic band. Two of them have dark socks on and one is wearing a green plastic doggy bag. The 64 oz jars I painted green (2 coats) with a gap all down one side so that I can see the water level. The gallon jars have pillowslips, folded appropriately, with ties around the tops. It's a fun new hobby!

Looking good!
Ha ha about the odd numbers of seedlings. That is why we put more than one in each pod - in case not all of them make it.
