Hey all you Eastern Ontario people in growing zone 5a, or similar.... does anyone have crocuses? and have they bloomed yet?
I'm thinking mine should have shown themselves by now, but I'm seeing nothing.
OK, just looked into my gardening binder. I made a note that in 2019 and 2020, they did not show until the first week of May because of the cold temperatures.

@Killerbunny don't hack anything, I am done planting.
Now it's all about controlling what is here and getting rid of anything that requires constant upkeep.
got two spruce taken down, and have enough wood chips to last me a life time. :)
I must say I enjoy when somebody else is holding the rake ...

Kimchick, my crocuses have been up for a while here. A friend bought me a big pack of them from Costco, but they're short and a rather dull white with a little purple on them. The daffs are out in full force today :).

I have been playing "musical chairs" in daffodils, not blooming outside yet, so put couple in pots inside to bloom for Easter,
then took them outside when they looked a bit tired and brought in another batch.
So now it looks like the couple of the outside ones are in full bloom too ;)
Its going to be another week before the outside ones actually bloom :)

Ontario Chick, all my outside daffs are blooming. I have noticed that they vary by variety. I bought some very early ones for down south a couple of years ago and finally enjoyed them a couple of weeks before the usual ones came out.

Well I clearly have very intelligent poults. The oldest 4 (4 weeks) instantly recognised the Condilla Day Lily and began to eat it!
