Lucky you! All my cucumber plants succumbed to a squirrel who thought it would be funny to chew off all my started plants at soil level. Our raised beds are all enclosed with garden mesh, but somehow it managed to get in anyway. Never did figure out where, and eventually gave up. We will be buying from the store this year.

Nice! I haven't seen any on our plants yet, but there are lots of blossoms.

I'm having a great cuc year. Already canned some Dill pickles and we have had 3 meals with a whole cuc split between us. Cucumber beetles decimated my plants last year. I'm still picking them off but I think being ready for them this year made a big difference. @Brebis mine are growing up chicken wire as well and I'm sure it's only a matter of time 😄

We had some last year growing up chicken wire...I was watching this beautiful big cuc.. when I thought it was ready to be picked...the chickens had eaten the entire insides and left the skin intact...I had to laugh.....we moved them this year away from the chickens completely...which is why we have some...lol

i just gifted my neighbour with enough cucumbers to make pickles. or relish. or whatever she wants to do with them! i still have about 20 on the counter LOL
i take those suicidal cukes that grow half in the fence and cut them out and give them to the chickens. they LOVE them! everything is growing so so fast with the rain and heat....one day i'll have a 2 inch zucchini and the next it's a slicer for the bbq at 14 inches.....it's insane! i swear i can hear it all growing. i just planted some new peas on saturday and they were sprouted and up an inch already last night!
