Beautiful! Almost makes me want to find somewhere to plant some tulips here. Except I don't like the look of them when they have finished flowering and die back. Do you plant something else in that tulip bed after the tulips are done, @Killerbunny ?

Yes there is a succession. This is the first year. Daffs, tulips, dahlias, then perennial delphiniums and hollyhocks and sicilian honey lilies (new to us). Alliums too.

All things considering the garden looks pretty good, used up the last of bedding from the barn, not sure what I will use for mulch next year, if there is one ;)

Beautiful! My peonies are done. The flowers on the first bush have already died off, and after the rain today the second bush is now covered with what looks like soggy toilet paper. Happens every year here, it seems: the bushes just come into full bloom, and the next day there's a torrential downpour.

my irises are done. but my daylilies are opening! only a month earlier than normal. And the colorado potato bugs....OMG.....i have hand picked at least 30 adults and several hundred of those red ugly larvae things. gah! they're a month early too! and we're seeing lots of ash borer beetles too....not happy about that.
Fireflies are in full force too. usually that's the july 1 weekend.....everything seems early.
