We grew Paperwhites in pots for a Hort. Society competition some years ago. Ugh! Someone called it a "medicinal" smell. It was pretty horrible and I've never grown them since. They can stay outside as far as I'm concerned!

Re: Forcing Narcissus bulbs
My forced bulbs were successful and we are now enjoying them on the dining table. They are mostly Tete a Tete daffodils with some Scilla, and there's another pot of Arctic Bells. Arctic Bells are tiny, and their leaves are more like grass than daffodills.

Re: Forcing Narcissus bulbs
That is very cool, mine are still only greenery, so probably will not see any blooms...
we are in zone 4B so forsythia tends to bloom only on the low branches that were covered in snow, but these branches are from the top, so a VERY unusual winter indeed
Forsythia on the other hand really surprised me, this time of year I usually brake off few branches of it and lilac just to see the leaves break out, and this year first time EVER they actually bloomed and I noticed the lilac has also set blooms,we are in zone 4B so forsythia tends to bloom only on the low branches that were covered in snow, but these branches are from the top, so a VERY unusual winter indeed

Maybe your bulbs would appreciate a little fertilizer?
Wonderful to see your Forsythia in bloom!
I grew some "micro" tomatoes under the lights that turned out to be rather tall. I cut some sticks from a Mock Orange and stuck them into the pots for support, and was amazed to see that they had leaves on them :).
