Can someone ID this plant/weed please?
The PlantSnap app is not being very useful.
- The plant
- A flower on the plant
It's about 3.5 - 4 ft. high.

Looks a bit like Evening Primrose, does it smell lovely in the evening?

Evening primrose gets my vote too. They are lovely.

I agree that it's a wild Evening Primrose. The cultivated version is shorter with bigger flowers.

That's one of the suggestions from PlantSnap.
Then I would wonder how the heck it showed up in my garden. When I transplanted it from one place to where it is now, I thought I was moving a gaillardia.
Now, I'm going out to take a whiff.

They go to seed all over the place. I do like them though.

they grow wild everywhere, and take over.....but they are pretty and the bees like them. i have them EVERYWHERE even in the paddock! resistance is futile....lol.

Ha! Ha! That's true. One year for my sister's birthday my mom and I weeded her flower beds for her as the weeds were knee high. We had a huge pile of weeds when we finished. My sister was so mad as she said we pulled all her flowers out.
