Online Peony Show

Post by Shnookie » Sat May 30, 2020 10:39 am

The Canadian Peony Society is having an online peony show during the month of June. No judging as far as I know. People will be just posting pictures of their peonies to show them off. Details haven't been posted yet. Here is the page where the information will be posted.

Farrier1987. South of Chatham on Lake Erie. Chickens, goats, horse, garden, dog, cat. Worked all over the world. Know a little bit about a lot of things. No incubator, broody hens.

I think we should start a thread of things misheard / misread by animal lovers...
remember driving to the airport early in the morning (might have been not quite awake yet)
saw a large sign in the suburbs. "TURKEY ....FOR SALE" after a second look turned out to be a "TURNKEY"...whatever, lost interest when realized it had nothing to do with turkeys ;)

This looks like fun, my peonies aren't blooming yet but when they do I'll put in an entry although I don't know any of the names of them.

I have some unknown ones too.

This is the Facebook page for the Prairie Peony Society, the one I joined. Several people from all over have already posted pictures of peonies. It's fun to look at them.

The lady who owns this garden put a link to this article on the American Peony Society website. What awesome flowers!

The online peony show has been extended to July 18. Out this way a lot of peonies are blooming a week or two later than usual.

The Canadian Peony Society will be having a peony root sale in fall. You have to be a member to buy from the sale. You can go to
https://peony.ca/ to find out more about the show and about memberships.
