Mung beans

Wondered if anyone has a source of Mung or similar for growing their own bean sprouts? I used to do these years ago in the UK and would like to try them again.
BTW Baker Creek is down until Monday due to huge demand. Guess people realised how insecure our food supply is.

I just buy bags of them in the dried legumes and pulses section of the grocery store. I get a decent germination rate with them.

Well I had some really old dried beans in the back of the drawer. Soaked and started some yesterday and there are little baby roots already - yay!

I used to use dried green pees for planting, always had a good germination from them, but for some reason haven't been able to buy whole green peas in last few years, so had to buy seed peas.
Recently I found whole yellow peas and although they made decent pea soup, I doubt they would be that nice to eat of the plant.

No they aren't they are rather over crunchy! The birds enjoyed them though. We plant yellow field peas on the fallow areas and let hte girls out in it. Mustn't lt them pig out though!
