Mystery seed

Post by Ontario Chick » Mon Nov 11, 2019 10:58 am

Friend of a friend of a friend, has a daughter who was heavily in to health food and Ancient grains kick, few years back.
Then her lifestyle changed and and we are recipient of bucket full of baggies full of different grains.
It all amounts to about 8KG of maybe 8-10 different grains in about 20 separate lots.
Some are pretty straight forward, oats, barley etc, some will go to chickens mixed in to their scratch, but few leave me baffled, so will go to wild birds and turkeys, they can sort it out, but this one is obviously a seed of some sort...............
any ideas?

Thank you both, I wasn't sure why they are black, but with your help I now know they are "unhulled buckwheat ".
