Potatoes as a second crop?

Post by Ontario Chick » Tue Oct 15, 2019 10:20 am

So sometime in August, more specifically August 9, I found six old potatoes languishing in the bottom of a potato bin, last of the "bought" ones before we started to use ours. as I was contemplating which compost bin they should go to, I though wherever I put them they will grow, why not pop them in to the small garden bed, empty after the lettuce spinach finished.
so in they went and and on October 8 when I fished planting garlic and had about 40 cloves left I thought that bed now occupied by the potato rejects would be just the right size.......so I poked the potato fork in and vas pretty amazed.....
