I have been online window shopping for daylilies. I had no idea there were so many kinds. We've got snow and cold now, but had already been up to 24 a few days ago. Saw a bumblebee Friday. I can't wait to have flowers out.

What are your sources? I have been looking for bulbs because they are affordable but everyone wants to sell me $20 plants! My other ones come from WallyWorld bulbs but they don't have them this year.

Veseys usually carries them by the root, but they're not always the cheapest....

Gee, too bad you don't live in Southern Ontario. My mother has a huge daylily garden. And she has been selling them for a few years.

You can actually find quite good daylilies at Cdn Tire and the other big box stores. They aren't bulbs, but roots which are easily divided (if you have friends with big plants) and they're pretty darned hardy. I like the re-blooming ones which bloom for most of the summer.

I ordered daylilies from here last year. Prices vary - some were as low as $5 for 1 fan. They weren't big, but were healthy. I would rather buy smaller plants when having them shipped. It costs less. They came bare root. They have not posted their catalogue yet.

My friend told me about this one. I haven't ordered from them. Some that I like are already sold out and some only have 1 or 2 plants in stock, so you might not get what you want.

I found this one when I was looking around. More expensive but a lot of selection and they say larger plants.

There are lots of others if you do a Google search.

I thought I had brought some of my Stella D'Oro when we moved here, but I guess I didn't. That is a common but pretty flower on a plant that is nice and bushy. (I also did not bring any Fern Leaf Peony.)
I do, however, have Kwonso, Little Business, and a dusty pink of which I do not know the name.
