Probably posted this on another thread, but the daylily that I finally saw bloom this year is a "ditch lily". That's OK; it looks nice where it is.
There is also another unidentified daylily in a different location; it keeps getting shaded out by a Bridal Wreath Spirea.
I am going to move that spirea soon and plant it near the lilac the I moved 2 years ago.
In its place, I am going to plant the Russian Sage.
Hmmm... I have a few plants to shift around in my flower gardens.

I love my Russian sage. I've had it for years and have transplanted it several times because for various reasons it didn't like where it was. For the last few years, though, it's been in a spot that it considers home. This year it is especially beautiful. I think it's because I gave it an extra generous helping of composted chicken manure and bedding.

Myn Purple Palace made it all the way to bloom this year without the deer having a snack first, love their vigor and the blooms are spectacular the picture doesn't do them justice.
