Looking for suggestions on what I should apply to this cherry limb to prevent it from drying up and dying?
Thanks,

The longer I keep chickens, the more I like ducks.
Re: Suggestions?
Nothing. It should heal on its own. The old ways of adding "gunk" apparently do nothing to help with healing .

Re: Suggestions?
Labradors is mostly right. But this one is large, and will lose so much moisture. If it was mine I would put on one coat of latex paint. That will will heal over the summer and the paint will peel and it should be fine. Definitely maybe.
