What is this?

Does anyone recognize this flower. It came out of a package of mixed seeds. The plant in the middle. It makes small flowers that are pale yellow with a red center. I have never seen the petals out flat, only up like they are in the picture. The flower only lasts a day I think. It makes lots of seeds.

Could it be Okra?

Not Okra, that grows about 4 ft high. I am thinking what my mother called pinks, or a morning glory kind of thing.

Pinks are Dianthus, Sweet William. Search that and see if the foliage etc might match.

Are you talking about the one little flower almost right in the middle of your photo? The yellow with orange-red centre? If that's the one you're talking about, I'm having a hard time getting it blown up enough to be able to try to identify it (pretty blurry if I enlarge it too much). Do you have a closer shot of it?

Not the pinks. The small plant in the middle with the tiny flower. I haven't got a better picture of the flower yet, but here's a closer one of the plant.
The round striped things are the seed pods. There is a bit of pink that is a closed flower bud.

I got a picture of the flowers when they were open. They are about the size of a loonie.

The flower does look like Okra, but the foliage is not at all similar to what I grow for okra. Okra doesn't usually open that wide, starys more like a funnel and doesn't close at night. Not sure what you have there.
