Just a little bump in case anyone missed it...

Last year we had 40+ gardeners send in packages. There is a bit of everything in the swap. Here are last years totals to tempt you!

1665 total seed packages, not including my additions.

The breakdown, not including my additions to the swap:
Just over 200 tomato varieties (over 500 packages)
28 packs of cilantro sent in by 11 gardeners, so everyone ended up with Cilantro for next year,one way or another, except the flower only requests!
116 packages of pepper varieties plus 25 packs of Sweet bell, sent in as a bonus.
87 packages of 39 varieties of beans

General package Requests;
22 veg only
11 veg mainly with a few flowers
5 flower only
2 flower with a few veg
1 herb only

Prettiest flower variety that I checked out: Majorette Double Champagne Hollyhock
Hottest Pepper: Carolina Reaper, but I'm looking forward to the Cappucino Naga that I swiped 3 seeds of to try!

Seed that I had to look up: Ashwagandh

As always, herbs and greens were popular requests, as were peas his year. Edible flowers seem to have gained a lot of popularity of the last 5 years.

Hello Nicky, cruising your website I found the pic of the Speckled Algonquin bush bean. I grew the Kahnawake Mohawk pole bean and it looks similar, just different coloured stripping. It has a brown/tan colour.

The post was older (2014), did you end up eating the bush beans and how were they?

Yes, I did. I found the Kahnawake Mohawk creamier tasting in soup & a touch larger than the Speckled Algonquin. They were both well worth growing again!

Here is a photo of them side by side (Kahnawake Mohawk on the left, Speckled Algonquin on the right);

No problem. Are you joining the swap? Or shall I just pop them in the mail for you?

Hiya Jp,

Just message me your email & I will send all of the information along. There are a lot of generous gardeners, so even if you send in a couple of seed packs, you will get lots back.

Cheers,
Nicky
